Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of whole-course Doula accompanying delivery on the delivery quality and outcome. Methods Altogether 120 pregnant women who hospitalized in our hospital from January 2017 to April 2018 and is giving birth were selected as the research objects and divided into routine delivery group(60 cases)and Doula delivery group(60 cases)according to randon number table method. The regular delivery group was used routine delivery mode;while the Doula delivery group adopted the whole-process Doula accompanying delivery mode. The duration of labor, the amount of hemorrhage during delivery, the mode of delivery, satisfaction degree and incidence of neonatal complications were compared between the two groups. Results The first and second stages of labor in Doula delivery group were significantly shorter than those in routine delivery group;the amount of hemorrhage during delivery was significantly less than that of routine delivery group(P<0.05).The natural delivery rate and satisfaction degree of the parturients in Doula delivery group were significantly higher than those in routine delivery group, and the incidence of neonatal complications was significantly lower than that in routine delivery group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Doula accompanying delivery can effectively shorten the birth process and improve the natural delivery rate of parturients as well as the quality of life of newborns, which ensures the safety of mothers and infants.
