Investigation on current situation of pre-hospital first aid knowledge,attitude and behaviors of the masses in Nanhai District of Foshan City

Abstract：Objective To explore the current situation of pre-hospital first aid knowledge,attitude and behaviors of the masses in Nanhai District of Foshan City.Methods A total of 967 people in Nanhai District were selected by cluster sampling from October 2018 to May 2019,and the current situation of pre-hospital first aid knowledge,attitudes and behaviors of the participants were investigated by questionnaire.Results The awareness rate of 967 Nanhai residents about pre-hospital first aid knowledge was 72.80%.There were higher awareness rates of pre-hospital first aid knowledge among ＞30-50 years old,medical workers,police and people with college degree or above.The scores of pre-hospital first aid attitude and behaviors were(33.32±2.65)and(26.49±2.09)points,respectively.There were significant differences in the scores of pre-hospital first aid attitude among different age,occupation and education(P＜0.05).The pre-hospital first aid attitude and behaviors score of ＞31-40 years old group was the highest,followed by ＞20-30 years old group and ＞40-50 years old group.The scores of pre-hospital first aid attitude and behaviors of medical workers and police were the highest,while the scores of farmers and workers were lower.The scores for pre-hospital first aid attitude and behaviors of doctors were the highest,followed by masters and bachelors,and the score for pre-hospital first aid attitude and behaviors of people receiving primary school education was the lowest.Conclusion People in Nanhai District have a high awareness rate of pre-hospital first aid knowledge,a relatively active attitude and participation in pre-hospital first aid.Among them,rural residents,those with lower education levels and younger ages have different pre-hospital first aid knowledge,attitude and behaviors.The pre-hospital first aid knowledge popularization and relevant skills training should be widely carried out,and relevant laws should be issued to protect the rescuers.
