Abstract:Objective To understand the pathological network use and influencing factors of middle school students in Longhua District,Shenzhen City,and to provide theoretical basis for the school and family in the district to take interventions to prevent and control the use of pathological networks.Methods A stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select the middle school students in Longhua District,Shenzhen City in November 2016 for a questionnaire survey.Univariate and multivariate analysis were performed using the χ2-test and Logistic regression model,respectively.Results The number of pathological network use in 3445 middle school students was 266,and the detection rate was 7.7%.The satisfaction degree of parents,the purpose of Internet access,depression disorder and anxiety emotional disorder were the influencing factors of pathological network use in middle school students(P<0.05),the OR values were as follows.The satisfaction degree of parents:unsatisfactory OR=4.011(95%CI:2.305-6.980),very dissatisfied OR=4.874(95%CI:1.809-13.135);the main purpose of Internet access:playing the games OR=8.208(95%CI:4.479-15.043),chatting OR=3.301(95%CI:1.504-7.248),entertainment OR=2.217(95%CI:1.178-4.173);depression disorder OR=2.283(95%CI:1.604-3.629)and anxiety emotional disorder OR=2.386(95%CI:1.699-3.352).Conclusion Middle school students in Longhua District,Shenzhen City,have a moderate level of pathological network use.The depression disorder,anxiety emotional disorder,playing games,chatting and entertainment for the main purpose of Internet access are risk factors of pathological network use in middle school students in Longhua District,Shenzhen City.Schools and families in this district should take targeted measures to prevent and control the pathological network use of middle school students.
