Abstract:Objective To explore the role of clinical nursing pathway in improving cognitive status and satisfaction of elderly patients with essential hypertension.Methods 100 patients with essential hypertension treated in our hospital from February 2014 to December 2016 were divided into two groups according to the random number method and there were 50 patients in each group.The control group wasgiven the routine nursing intervention,while the study group was given the clinical nursing path.Mastery degree of cognitive status for hypertension knowledge such as rational use of drugs,definition and etiology,reasonable diet,self-test blood pressure and adhere to campaign and so on,hospitalization time,hospitalization expenses,and blood pressure level before and after intervention in patients between the two groups were compared.Results Mastery degree of cognitive status for hypertension knowledge in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction degree of nursing in the patients of the study group was significantly better than that in the control group (P<0.05).The hospitalization time of the study group was significantly shorter than that of the control group,the hospitalization expense was lower than that of the control group,and the blood pressure level was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical nursing pathway can significantly improve the mastery degree of cognitive status for hypertension knowledge and satisfaction of elderly patients with essential hypertension,shorten the hospitalization time and reduce the economic pressure of patients.
