Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of arthroscopic limited and extensive debridement in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods A total of 80 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to Central People′s Hospital of Zhanjiang City in Guangdong Province from January 2019 to January 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with extensive debridement under arthroscopy, and the observation group was treated with limited debridement under arthroscopy. The perioperative related indicators, pain scores, knee function scores, clinical efficacy and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The visual analogue scale (VAS) score of the observation group at 3 months after operation was lower than that of the control group, the Lysholm score and the knee joint scale score of the hospital for special surgery in the United States (HSS) were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the excellent and good rate of treatment and the total incidence of complications of the two groups (P >0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, limited debridement under arthroscopy and extensive debridement under arthroscopy have the same curative effect, but limited debridement under arthroscopy has the advantages of shorter operation time, less pain and more conducive to postoperative recovery.
