Abstract：Multimedia and network technology progress promoted the development of medicine teaching.Multimedia web-based learning stimulated students′interest and improve students learning initiative through intuitive and flexible form.It also can reduce the burden of teachers，improve teaching efficiency and become an important part of clinical medical teaching in recent years.But there are many problems about current network multimedia teaching in general surgery，such as dispersive network medical resources，irregular forms，lack of systematicness and relatedness，insufficient of interaction between teachers and students，failure of supervision and feedback.Optimization of multimedia teaching need multidisciplinary professionals to participate and improve clinical teaching system in many aspects，include aggregate contents of network database，classify teaching materials，improve network interactive function，and improve learning and evaluation method.
