Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of score of agitation and sedation in patients with mechanical ventilation in ICU.Methods A total of 80 cases of mechanical ventilation patients hospitalized in ICU of our hospital from January to March 2019 were selected.According to random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,40 cases in each group.The control group was evaluated according to nurses′ subjective experience,and the experimental group was evaluated by score of agitation and sedation.The total incidence of adverse events,duration of mechanical ventilation,duration of sedation and duration of endotracheal intubation extraction were compared between the two groups.Results The total incidence of adverse events in the study group (15.00%) was lower than that in the control group (40.00%),the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The duration of mechanical ventilation,sedative drug use and endotracheal intubation extraction were shorter in the study group than those of the control group,with statistical differences (P＜0.05).Conclusion Using score of restlessness and sedation can effectively evaluate the restlessness and sedation of patients,shorten the treatment time of patients and reduce the incidence of adverse events.It is worthy of use in clinical practice.
