Abstract:Objective To observe the application effect of TCM nursing in osteoporotic lumbar vertebral compression fractures (OVCF). Methods According to the method of randomized parallel grouping, 68 patients with OVCF treated in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were divided into group A and group B, 34 cases in each group. Group A was given TCM nursing and group B was given routine nursing. The psychological score (self-rating anxiety scale[SAS], self depression scale [SDS]), clinical related indexes (hospitalization time, hospitalization cost, visual analogue scale [VAS]) and total incidence complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The SAS and SDS scores of group A were lower than those of group B, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in group A was significantly lower than that in group B (P<0.05). The hospitalization time of group A was shorter than that of group B, and the hospitalization cost and VAS of group A was lower than that of group B, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). TCM nursing intervention can improve the anxiety, depression and pain symptoms of OVCF patients, shorten the actual hospitalization days and reduce costs, and the incidence of complications, which has important clinical application and promotion value.
