Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of continuous rehabilitation and discharge guidance on the quality of life in patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 200 patients with schizophrenia treated in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected as subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into two groups,100 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine rehabilitation and discharge guidance, while patients in the study group were given continuous rehabilitation and discharge guidance. The satisfaction of patients in the two groups was compared. The quality of life scores of the two groups were compared mmediately after discharge and at 1,3,6,9 and 12 months after discharge.Discharge recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. Results The satisfaction score of patients in the study group was (94.10±3.10) points, which was higher than that in the control group for (80.99±2.14) points, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).The quality of life scores in the study group at 1,3,6,9 and 12 months after discharge were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The recurrence rate of patients in the study group after discharge was 2% (2/100),which was lower than that in the control group for 14% (14/100),with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of continuation of rehabilitation and discharge guidance for patients with schizophrenia can improve the patients′ satisfaction and quality of life, and reduce the recurrence rate of patients after discharge. It is worthy of clinical application.
