Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and factors of acute prognosis in traumatic brain injury patientswith intracranial infection.M ethods The clinical data of 245 patientswith traumatic brain injury in our hospital from April 2013 to October 2015 were employed and retrospectively analyzed. The clinicalmanifestations in intracranial infection patients were collected, and analyzed with chi square test of single factor analysis to find the risk factors of intracranial infection,in which, the significant ones were deal with logistic regression analysis. Results Among of the 245 patients,42 cases(17.1%)occurred with intracranial infection,in which clinical features for persistent head of pain were 37 cases(88.1%),headache with vomiting were 30 cases(71.4%),irregular fever were 35 cases(83.3%),.Clinical characteristics included obviousmeningeal irritation and nerve injury of optic nerve, oculomotor nerve, auditory nerve.Operative time, preoperative GCSscore less than 8 points, open craniocerebral injury, surgical site on the screen, drainage tube indwelling timemore than 7 days, leakage of cerebrospinal, diabetesmellitus etc.were for risk factors of intracranial infection related,in which, leakage of cerebrospinal fluid could bring the highest risk(OR value=7.17).Therewas no significant relationship between sex, age, preoperative use of antibiotics and the occurrence of intracranial infection(P>0.05).Conclusion Prevented the intracranial infection according to the risk factors in the early stage.Paid close attention to the clinicalmanifestations of patients,to detect the patientswith intracranial infection and given treatment as early.
