The effect of mild hypothermia therapeutic apparatus in the treatment of central hyperpyrexia patient after severe craniocerebral injury operation

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of mild hypothermia therapeutic apparatus in the treatment of severe craniocerebral injury patient with central hyperpyrexia after operation.Methods 42 cases of severe craniocerebral injury patients with central hyperpyrexia after operation from January 2015 and December 2016 were selected and divided into observation group and control group,21 cases in each group,according to random number table.Both group were given the routine treatment and nursing,the observation group was cooled down with mild hypothermia therapeutic apparatus when having fever,the control group was performed routine cooling(ice hat,ice pillow,cooling gel sheet,anti-febrile),the body temperature decreases in 0.5,1,2 and 72 hours of two groups after the cooling measurement were recorded and compared,the satisfaction of the patients′family members of were also compared.Results After the cooling treatment,the body temperature was compared of two groups,with statisticant difference(P＜0.01);the temperature change of observation group was bigger than that of control group,the difference was statisticant(P＜0.01);compared to the temperature before cooling measurement,the body temperature was de-creased of observation group after 0.5,1,2 and 72 hours,with statisticantdifference(P＜0.01),the temperature change of the control group after 1,2 and 72 hours was compared with before cooling measurement,with statisticant difference(P＜0.01), but the change after 0.5 hour had no statisticant difference (P＞0.05);the family member′s satisfaction of observation group was 95.24%,higher than that of control group of 47.62%,with statisticant difference (P＜0.01).Conclusion Using mild hypothermia therapeutic apparatus in the treatment of severe craniocerebral injury patients with central hyperpyrexiais convenient,safe and effective;the treatment method can increase job efficiency and the satisfaction of family members of the patient,it is worth to be popularized in primary hospitals.
