Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of continuous oxygen driven aerosol inhalation on prevention of entrapment pneumonia in elderly bedridden patients. Methods From July 2019 to September 2020,90 elderly bedridden patient in Zaozhuang Mental Health Center were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to random odd-even number method, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ultrasonic atomization inhalation, and the observation group was treated with continuous oxygen driven atomization inhalation. The incidence of entrapment pneumonia, survival rate, blood gas index, quality of life score and satisfaction of patients were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of entrapment pneumonia in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the survival rate was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in arterial blood gas indexes between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment,PaCO2in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,SaO2and PaO2in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,PaCO2of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,SaO2 and PaO2were higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of quality of life between the two groups (P>0.05).After intervention, the scores of physiological function, vitality, physiological function, general health, physical pain, emotional function, mental health and social function in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of physical function,vi-tality,physical function, general health, physical pain, emotional function, mental health and social function of the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous oxygen driven aerosol inhalation intervention can not only effectively reduce the incidence of entrapment pneumonia, but also improve the survival rate, quality of life and satisfaction of the elderly bedridden patients.
