Objective To explore the application effect of clinical nursing pathway in the nursing of elderly asthma patients. Methods From April 2017 to December 2018,76 cases of senile asthma patients treated in Ansteel Group General Hospital,Liaoning Province were selected. They were divided into the study group (38 cases) and the control group (38 cases) using the random double-blind method. The control group was given routine nursing, the study group was given clinical nursing path intervention, the nursing effect of the two groups was compared. Results The total effective rate (94.7%),knowledge awareness rate (92.1%) and nursing total satisfaction (94.7%) in the study group were higher than those in the control group (73.7%,71.1%,68.4%),the recurrence rate (5.3%) 1 year after nursing was lower than that of the control group (28.9%),the length of stay was shorter than that of the control group, treatment cost was less than that of the control group, differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).50% maximum expiratory flow(FRF),75% FRF,positive end-expiratory pressure (PEFP) and quality of life scores between the two groups before nursing, the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05).After nursing,50%FRF,75%FRF,PEFP,quality of life scores in the study group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Clinical nursing pathway intervention for elderly asthma patients is helpful to improve their disease awareness and treatment effect, accelerate their recovery, and improve their quality of life. This nursing model is recognized by many patients. It is worth popularizing in clinic.
