Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of restricted transfusion and open transfusion on postoperative complications of abdominal surgery in elderly patients.Methods The clinical data of 70 elderly patients with abdominal operation in Yangdong District People′s Hospital from April 2019 to April 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the infusion method,they were divided into the restricted infusion group (35 cases) and the open infusion group (35 cases).Operative related indexes and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in anesthesia time,operation time and intraoperative blood loss between the two groups (P>0.05).The total transfusion volume and urine volume of patients in the restricted infusion group were less than those in the open infusion group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the restricted infusion group was lower than that in the open infusion group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with open transfusion,restricted transfusion can effectively reduce the postoperative complications of abdominal surgery in elderly patients,so is worthy of promotion and application in the clinical.
