Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of targeted nursing model in the nursing of premature and ultralow birth weight newborns. Methods A total of 40 premature ultra-low birth weight newborns who were born in Dongguan Maternal and Child Health Hospital,Guangdong Province from February 2018 to May 2019 were selected as the studt subjects, and were divided into two groups by random number table method,20 cases in each group. The control group adopted conventional nursing care, and the observation group implemented a targeted nursing model. The growth and development, incidence of adverse events, length of stay in hospital and satisfaction of family members between the two groups were compared. Results After targeted care, the height, head circumference, and weight gains of the observation group were greater than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the hospital stay of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the total incidence of adverse events was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);the time to exhaust meconium and weight recovery in the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Targeted nursing intervention for preterm ultralow birth weight infants is more beneficial to the development of children′s body and intelligence, and can shorten the hospitalization time of children.
