Application effect of body language communication in pediatric nursing

Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of body language communication in pediatric nursing.Methods From January 2018 to July 2019,150 patients treated in our hospitalwere selected as the research subjects.They were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,75cases in each group.Patients in the control group received routine nursing.In the observation group,body language communication nursingwasused.The treatment total compliance,occurrenceofnursingadverseevents,and totalsatisfaction from patient′s parents on nursing were compared in the two groups.Results The treatment total compliance of children in the observation group was 92.00%,higher than that in the control group accounting for 72.00%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The obligatory treatment rate of children in the observation group was 4.00%,the rate of refusal to treat in crying children was 6.67%,the variation rate of treatment and nursing path was 4.00%,and the rate of exacerbation caused by inadequate care was 4.00%,the rate of nursing disputeswas 1.33%,which were all lower than those in the control group accounting for 18.67%,24.00%,16.00%,20.00%,and 14.67%,with statistical differences(P<0.05).The total satisfaction from children′s parents in the observation group was 94.67%,higher than that in the control group accounting for 78.67%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Body language communication has high clinical application value in pediatric nursing,which can improve children′s treatment compliance and reduce the risk of adverse events in nursing,increase the nursing satisfaction from children′s parents and obtain a remarkable effect.
