Effect of color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis of placenta previa and placenta implantation

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis of placenta previa and placenta implantation.Methods A total of 88 patients with highly suspected placenta praevia and placenta implantation who were treated in Dalian Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2017 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects.All the patients received conventional 2D ultrasound and color Doppler ultrasound.The surgical pathological results were taken as the "gold standard".The diagnostic effect of conventional 2D ultrasound and color Doppler ultrasound were analyzed.Results There were 79 patients with placenta previa and placenta implantation among the 88 suspected patients.The accuracy of color Doppler ultrasound diagnosis of placenta previa and placenta implantation was 94.32% (83/88),which was higher than the 76.14% (67/88) of conventional 2D ultrasound,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that the area under the (AUC) and sensitivity of color Doppler ultrasound diagnosis were higher than those of conventional 2D ultrasound diagnosis,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound has high diagnostic effect in placenta praevia and placenta implantation,which provides an important reference for diagnostic of placental implantation,and has positive significance for treatment and prognosis.
