Abstract:Objective To explore the value of color Doppler ultrasonography of cervical vessels in elderly patients with ischemic stroke. Methods A total of 100 cases of elderly patients with ischemic stroke admitted to our hospital from December 2017 to September 2018 were enrolled in this study. At the same time, 100 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group. Cervical vascular color Doppler ultrasonography was performed in both groups, and the results of the two groups were compared to evaluate the application value of color Doppler ultrasound in ischemic stroke. Results The intima-media thickness (IMT) of the bifurcations of the common carotid artery (CCA), internal carotid artery (ICA), external carotid artery (ECA) in the study group were higher than those of the control group, the detection rates of intimal thickening and plaque in the study group were higher than those of the control group, the total cervical artery stenosis in the study group was higher than that of the control group, the rate of mild stenosis was lower than that of control group, the rate of moderate and severe stenosis were higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion In elderly patients with ischemic stroke, color Doppler ultrasonography of the neck vessels can effectively observe the atherosclerosis of the neck, provide an important basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment, and has many advantages such as convenient and economical, which can be widely promoted in primary care.
