Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of Shugan Jieyu Capsules combined with Aripiprazole in the treatment of schizophrenia and its influence on the levels of oxidative stress.Methods A total of 80 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and treated in our hospital from January to December 2018 were selected as research objects,and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random principle,40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Aripiprazole orally,while the patients in the observation group were treated with Shugan Jieyu Capsules combined with Aripiprazole orally.The positive and negative symptom scale (PANSS)scores and the levels of oxidative stress indicators(total superoxide dismutase[T-SOD],glutathione peroxidase[GSH-Px],catalase[CAT])before and after treatment were observed between the two groups.The total effective rate of treatment was compared between the two groups of patients.Results There were no significant differences in the PANSS scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The PANSS scores of the two groups after 8 weeks of treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The score of negative symptoms in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group after 8 weeks of treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment between the two groups (P>0.05).There were no significant differences in serum levels of T-SOD,GSH-Px and CAT between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the serum levels of T-SOD and GSH-Px in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the CAT level was significantly lower than that before treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The serum levels of T-SOD and GSH-Px in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group,and the CAT level was lower than that in the control group,with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion Shugan Jieyu Capsules combined with Aripiprazole can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of schizophrenia patients and help to enhance the oxidative stress ability of patients.
