Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of bibliotherapy on long-term hospitalized schizophrenics.Methods A total of 120 cases of long-term hospitalized schizophrenics treated in our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were selected as the subjects, and divided into reading treatment group and the conventional treatment group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group.Patients in the conventional treatment group were given conventional drug treatment, while patients in the reading treatment group were given the specified prescription according to the bibliotherapy on basis of conventional drug treatment.The brief psychiatric rating scale (BPRS) was used to evaluate the effect of the two groups of patients before treatment and after2, 4, 6, 8 weeks of treatment.Results The total scores of BPRS in the reading treatment group were lower than those in the conventional treatment group after 4, 6, 8 weeks of treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The scores of anxiety and depression,lack of vitality and thinking disorder in the reading treatment group after 8 weeks of treatment were lower than those before treatment and the conventional treatment group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant difference in the scores of irritability and hostility suspicion between the two groups after 8 weeks of treatment (P >0.05).Conclusion Bibliotherapy was an effective treatment for the pa tients with long-term hospitalized schizophrenics.It can reduce the score of BPRS, which is worthy of clinical application.
