Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of modified electroconvulsive therapy combined with Risperidone on patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 80 patients with schizophrenia who admitted in the hospital from January 2017 to June 2019 were selected as research subjects, and they were divided into the control group (40 cases) and the observation group (40 cases) according to random number table methods. The control group orally took Risperidone, and the observation group was treated with modified electroconvulsive therapy on the based of the control group. The positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) and Wechsler memory scale (WMS) scores of the two groups before treatment and after treatment for 28 d were compared. Results After treatment, the PANSS positive score and negative score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the WMS score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Modified electroconvulsive therapy combined with Risperidone in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia can decrease PANSS score and increase WMS score, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
