Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of hospital-community care model on cognitive ability, daily activity ability and compliance behavior of patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods Fifty-two patients with MCI admitted to our hospital from March to December 2018 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into experimental group (n=26) and control group (n=26) according to the community. The control group adopted the conventional health education management method, and the experimental group adopted the MCI care mode of hospital-community interaction. Montreal cognitive assessment scale (MoCA) and Barthel index (BI) scale were used to evaluate the cognitive level and daily living ability of patients in the two groups at discharge, 1, 3 and 6 months after intervention, and the changes of patients′ compliance behavior were also analyzed. Results There were no significant differences in MoCA and BI scores between the two groups 1 month after intervention (P>0.05). The MoCA and BI scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group at 3 and 6 months after intervention, with statistical differences (P<0.05). The compliance behavior of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group at 6 months after intervention, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of MCI care mode under the hospital-community interaction can effectively improve patients′ cognitive function, daily living ability and compliance behavior.
