Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Metoprolol combined with Trimetazidine in the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure. Methods A total of 90 patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure admitted to our hospital from July 2017 to July 2018 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group (45 cases) and control group (45 cases) according to the computer random grouping method. The patients in the control group were treated with Metoprolol, while the patients in the observation group were treated with Metoprolol combined with Trimetazidine. The left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), 6-minute walking distance (6MWT), left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD), and levels of myocardial inflammatory factor indicators (hypersensitive C-reactive protein [hs-CRP], tumor necrosis factor-α[TNF-α], interleukin-6 [IL-6]) before and after treatment and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups.Results The LVEDD, 6MWT, and LVEF in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group, LVESD was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of hs-CRP, TNF-α, and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The combined treatment of Metoprolol and Trimetazidine can improve the cardiac function indexes of elderly patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure, and has significant efficacy, which is worthy of promotion.
