Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of preventing postpartum urinary retention with the combination of auricular pressing with beans and Chinese medicine dressing in large packs. Methods Six hundred full-term pregnant women who delivered babies in our hospital from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected as clinical subjects and grouped according to the random number table method. In the control group, 300 pregnant women were treated with auricular pressing with beans, and 300 pregnant women in the observation group were treated with auricular pressing with beans combined with Chinese medicine dressing in large packs. The clinical efficacy of all patients after treatment, bleeding volume of 24 h postpartum, bladder residual urine volume and the time of first urination after childbirth were compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.67%, which was higher than that in the control group (70.00%), and the difference was significant (P<0.05). The bleeding volume of 24 h postpartum in the observation group was (280.99±19.84) ml and bladder residual urine volume was (53.92±9.01) ml, which were less than those of the control group of (350.43±24.99) ml and (119.32±14.87) ml, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The first postpartum urination time was (129.98±17.43) min in the observation group, which was shorter than that in the control group of (225.98±19.98) min, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of urinary retention was compared between the two groups, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion The combination of auricular pressing with beans and Chinese medicine dressing in large packs can effectively prevent postpartum urinary retention and improve maternal bladder function, and has high clinical application value.
