Abstract:Objective To explore the maternal and infant outcomes of cervical balloon and Oxytocin induced labor. Methods Two hundred expectant mothers who needed induced labor during January 2018 to March 2019 in our hospital were selected as the research objects and divided into observation group and control group according to computer random grouping method, with 100 cases in each group. The observation group was induced by cervical balloon and the control group by Oxytocin. The effective rate of cervical ripening,Bishop scores and maternal and infant outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of cervical ripening and Bishop score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The rates of cesarean section, laceration of birth canal, postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal asphyxia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of fetal translocation between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with Oxytocin induced labor, cervical balloon induced labor can better promote cervical ripening, improve cervical Bishop score, and improve maternal and infant outcomes in expectant mothers who need induced labor, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
