Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of Terbutaline in adjuvant treatment of childhood asthma. Methods A total of 102 children with asthma admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2018 were enrolled and divided into the observation group (n=51) and the control group (n=51) by the random comprehensive balancing method. The control group received routine treatment after admission, while the observation group received Terbutaline sulfate as adjuvant treatment on the basis of the control group. The total effective rate of treatment, adverse reactions (hand tremor, gastrointestinal disorders, headache),nighttime and daytime wheezing frequency, percentage maximum expiratory flow to normal predicted value (PEF%) and percentage volume of expiratory volume in the first second of maximum expiratory flow to predicted value(FEV1%)were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.1%,higher than 81.3% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).The daytime and nighttime wheezing times in the observation group were less than those in the control group, and PEF% and FEV1% were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The addition of Terbutaline to children with asthma on the basis of conventional treatment has obvious therapeutic effect, and Terbutaline will not increase the incidence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
