Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of "critical value" report in deprtment of clinical laboratory in the treatment of clinical acute and critical diseases. Methods From May 1, 2015 to April 30, 2018, 2400 patients with clinical emergency and critical value were selected as study objects and they were divided into control group (1200 cases) and observation group (1200 cases) according to the visiting time. The patients in the control group were admitted when the "critical value" report in deprtment of clinical laboratory was not carried out from May 1, 2015 to October 31, 2016. While the patients in the observation group were admitted when the "critical value" report in deprtment of clinical laboratory in our hospital was carried out from November 1, 2016 to April 30, 2018. The awareness rate of "critical value" and the mastery rate of reporting process were compared in laboratory staff between the two groups. The clinical receiving time, disposal time, improvement time of critical value, return rate of "critical value", success rate of rescue and satisfaction degree of clinical departments were compared in patietns between the two groups. Results The awareness rate of "critical value" (100.0%) and the mastery rate of reporting process (100.0%) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (60.0% and 40.0%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The clinical receiving time, disposal time and improvement time of critical value in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the return rate of critical value (100.0%), success rate of rescue (92.3%)and satisfaction degree of clinical department (98.8%) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (88.1%, 81.0%, 78.8%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The "critical value" reporting system can significantly improve the professional skills and professional literacy of laboratory staff, and improve the rescue efficiency and success rate of clinical critical patients. It has a higher degree of satisfaction in clinical departments and deserves to be popularized and applied.
