Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of breast-conserving and modified radical surgery in the treatment of breast cancer and its influence on the quality of life.Methods From January 2018 to January 2020,a total of 100 patients with breast cancer admitted to Beijing Jingmei Group General Hospital were retrospectively selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group (50 cases) and the intervention group (50 cases) according to different surgical methods.The control group adopted the breast-conserving surgery method, and the intervention group adopted the modified radical surgery method.The surgical indicators (intraoperative blood loss, incision length, operation time, hospital stay), cosmetic effect, postoperative survival rate, the recurrence rate and the quality of life between the two groups were compared.Results The amount of intraoperative blood loss in the intervention group was less than that in the control group, and the incision length, operation time, and hospital stay in the intervention group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of surgical beauty in the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After 1 year of follow-up, there were no recurrences in the two groups and all patients survived.The quality of life score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Breast-conserving surgery and modified radical mastectomy are effective in treating breast cancer, and there is no significant difference.Breast-conserving surgery is beneficial to the breast beauty of patients, relieves their physical and psychological discomfort, and improves their quality of life.It is worthy of popularization and application.
