Abstract:Objective To study the effect of WeChat video combined with mindfulness decompression therapy in elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods From February 2018 to February 2020,153 elderly patients with BPH treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University were selected and divided into the control group(76 cases)and the study group(77 cases)by random number table method.The control group received regular health education,and the study group used WeChat video combined with mindfulness decompression therapy on the basis of the control group.The anxiety,depression and quality of life between the two groups were compared.Results After the intervention,the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)score of the study group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention,the disease,physiology,social,psychological,and satisfaction scores of the patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPHQLS)in the study group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion WeChat video combined with mindfulness decompression therapy can effectively improve the anxiety and depression of elderly BPH patients and improve the quality of life.
