Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of plasma radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of laryngopharyngeal mass. Methods A total of 46 patients with hypopharynx and larynx benign mass admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Second People′s Hospital of Jingdezhen from January 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,23 cases in each group.Patients in the control group underwent conventional surgery to remove the lesions, and patients in the observation group were treated with low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation. The operation time, wound healing time, hospitalization time, pain, intraoperative blood loss, recurrence and treatment effect between the two groups were compared. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the surgical effect and visual analogue scale(VAS)score between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).The wound healing time, operation time, and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss of the observation group was less than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no recurrence in both groups. Conclusion For patients with benign mass in the hypopharynx and larynx,low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation can be used to treat patients with short operation time, less intraoperative blood loss, quick recovery, and outstanding clinical application value.
