Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of one-time root canal therapy on the treatment of patients with endodontic diseases. Methods A total of 128 patients with endodontic diseases who were admitted to Fushun Hospital of Chinese Medicine from August 2018 to July 2019 were selected as the research objects and divided into the study group and the control group by random number table method, with 64 cases in each group. The study group was treated with one-time root canal surgery, and the control group was treated with multiple root canal surgery. The total effective rate, visual analogue scale (VAS) score for dental pain and total incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the study group (96.87%) was higher than that of the control group(78.12%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The VAS score of the study group after treatment was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group (2.13%) was lower than that in the control group (28.13%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with endodontic diseases,one-time root canal surgery can effectively improve the treatment effect, relieve pain and reduce adverse reactions.
