Objective To compare the effect between the laparoscopic modified right hemicolectomy and traditional open surgery in the treatment of colon cancer.Methods A total of 70 colon cancer patients admitted to the First Department of Surgery,the Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from July 2015 to November 2017 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the reference group(35 cases)and the study group(35 cases)according to the random number table method.The reference group used traditional open surgery,and the study group used laparoscopic modified right hemicolectomy.The clinical indicators,postoperative rehabilitation indicators and 3-year return visit indicators of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results The intraoperative blood loss in the study group was less than that in the reference group,and the operation time was shorter than that in the reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the number of lymph node dissections between the two groups(P>0.05).The postoperative rehabilitation indicators(time to exhaust after operation,time to get out of bed after operation,time to use analgesics after operation,length of hospital stay)in the study group were shorter than those in the reference group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of the study group was higher than that of the reference group,with statistically significant difference(χ2=13.226,P<0.05).The incidence of complications and lymph node recurrence and metastasis rate in the study group were lower than those in the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=8.330,5.335,P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic modified right hemicolectomy for the treatment of colon cancer patients can effectively shorten the length of stay in bed,promote postoperative recovery,reduce the risk of postoperative complications,with significant effect.
