Abstract:Objective To compare the diagnostic value of electrocardiogram and echocardiography in hypertensive heart disease. Methods A total of 160 suspected patients with hypertensive heart disease who were admitted to our hospital from October 2017 to October 2018 were selected as research objects. All patients were examined by electrocardiogram and echocardiography. The sensitivity, specificity, positive rate and detection accuracy of the two methods were compared. Results Among 160 suspected patients with hypertensive heart disease, 45 cases were negative and 115 cases were positive that were confirmed by "gold standard", of which 82 cases were positive and 78 cases were negative that were inspected by electrocardiogram, 95 cases were positive and 65 cases were negative that were inspected by echocardiography. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of echocardiography were higher than those of electrocardiogram, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Echocardiography has high sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in the diagnosis of hypertensive heart disease, which has high diagnostic value and is worth popularizing and application.
