Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and procalcitonin (PCT) in the diagnosis of hematological diseases complicated with bacterial infection. Methods Ninety patients with hematological diseases admitted to our hospital from October 2016 to October 2018 were selected and divided into bacterial infection group (n=43) and non-bacterial infection group (n=47) according to the results of pathogenic examination.Forty-five healthy people who came to our hospital for health examination at the same time were selected as control group. The blood samples of elbow vein in 5 ml in fasting state of three groups were collected in the morning and determined after centrifugation. Serum CRP and PCT levels were analyzed. The positive detection rate, specificity, sensitivity and accuracy of CRP and PCT in diagnosis of hematological diseases complicated with bacterial infection and non-bacterial infection were analyzed. Results Among the three groups, the serum CRP and PCT levels were the highest in the bacterial infection group, followed by the non-bacterial infection group, and the lowest in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The specificity (85.11%), sensitivity (93.02%) and accuracy (88.89%)of CRP were higher than those of CRP (68.09%, 60.47% and 64.44%) with statistical significance(P<0.05). Conclusion Serum CRP and PCT are of great value in the diagnosis of hematological diseases complicated with bacterial infections, and PCT is more effective than CRP in the diagnosis of bacterial infections, which is conducive to improving the detection rate of bacterial infections.
