Application effect of nursing management information system in pressure ulcer management

Abstract：Objective To study the application effect of nursing management information system in pressure ulcer management.Methods Altogether 285 cases of patients (Braden pressure ulcer prediction scale score ≤12 points and with pressure ulcers) admitted to our hospital in 2016 and 2017 were selected as subjects.According to different reporting methods of pressure ulcer, the patients in the year of 2016 were selected as the control group (103 cases), and the patients in the year of 2017 were selected as the observation group (182 cases).In the control group, pressure sores reporting in print was used, while in the observation group, nursing management information system to report pressure sores was adopted.The high-risk reported rate of pressure ulcers and the incidence rate of nosocomial pressure ulcers were compared between the two groups.Results The high-risk reported rate of pressure ulcer in the observation group was 56.59%, which was higher than that in the control group accounting for 25.24%, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence rate of nosocomial pressure ulcers in the observation group was 2.20%, which was lower than that in the control group accounting for 5.83%, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of nursing management information system in pressure ulcer management is able to report high-risk pressure ulcer cases in time, implement prevention and treatment measures in advance, and reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers.
