Application effect of Recombinant Human Erythropoietin combined with iron in the eldly with intertrochanteric fractures

Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of recombinant human erythropoietin combined with iron in the eldly with intertrochanteric fractures.Methods From May 2016 to October 2017,60 patients of femoral intertrochanteric fractures treated in our hospital were randomly divided into the experimental group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases).The experimental group was treated with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin combined with iron,and the control group was treated with only iron.The hemoglobin and the blood transfusion volume were measured after operation in two groups.The incision healing time and the days in hospital were observed too.All data were dealed with by statistical analysis.Results The hemoglobin determination in the experimental group was significantly higher after operation than in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The average blood transfusion volume(95.4±15.8)ml in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (178.4±74.8)ml,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the experimental group,it was significantly shorter than those in the another group in the wound healing time and the hospital days,and it was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions It can reduce transfusion volume by improve the amount of hemoglobin in the eldly with intertrochanteric fractnres.It can raise the cure rate and shorten the hospital days by this way.It is a safe and effective way with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin in elderly femoral intertrochanteric fractures.
