Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of intermittently taking iron dextran oral liquid (IDOL)on pediatric nutritional iron deficiency(NIDA)therapy.Methods 300 cases of NIDA children who were admitted into our hospital from October 2012 to May 2016 were selected and divided into experiment group(150 cases)which treated with IDOL intermittently and control group(150 cases)which treated with IDOL continuously.After six weeks,the clinical effects,adverse reaction and the levels of hemoglobin,serum iron and reticulocyte of patients between two groups were compared.Results Aftertreatment,the incidence ofexperimentalgroup(98.2%)was higherthan thatofcontrolgroup(88.0%), the incidence of adverse reaction(12.7%)was lower than that of control group(44.7%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The levels of hemoglobin,serum iron and reticulocyte of patients in two groups were all improved after treatment,and the levels of hemoglobin,serum iron were higher than those in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The treatment cost in experiment group[(260.00±27.00)Yuan]was lower than in control group[(102.00±11.00)Yuan],and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01).Conclusion Intermittently take IDOL has a good effect and less adverse reaction on pediatric NIDA,and it is worth to be recommanded in clinic.
