Effect of vaginal microflora on adverse pregnancy outcomes in late pregnancy

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of vaginal microflora on adverse pregnancy outcomes in late pregnancy. Methods 220 cases of pregnant woman who took prenatal examination in our hospital from January to June 2016 in late pregnancy were selected,then vaginalfluid were collected and detected pH,hydroge(H2O2),leucocyte esteraseand sialidase,and vaginal microflora were evaluated,effect of vaginal microflora to vaginal pH were observed,all pregnant woman were followed up,and effect of vaginal microflora to adverse pregnancy outcomes(premature rupture of membranes,premature delivery,intrauterine asphyxia,low birth weightinfant,puerperal infection)were observed.Results Among the 220 late pregnants,152 cases(69.1%)were normal in vaginal microflora(microflora normal group);54 cases(24.5%)were vaginal micro-ecologicalimbalance(microflora imbalance group);14 cases(6.3%)were bacterialvaginosis(bacterialvaginosis group). Vaginal pH in microflora imbalance group and bacterial vaginosis group was higher than that in microflora normal group;vaginal pH in bacterial vaginosis group was higher than that in microflora imbalance group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.01).The incidence of premature rupture of membranes,intrauterine asphyxia,premature delivery,low birth weight infant in microflora imbalance group and bacterial vaginosis group were higher than those in microflora normal group,and those in bacterial vaginosis group were higher than those in microflora imbalance group;the incidence of puerperal infection in bacterial vaginosis group was higher than that in microflora imbalance group and microflora normal group,and all the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Vaginal microflora has obvious effect in pregnancy outcomes,it is a reason of adverse pregnancy outcomes,prenatal examination care shoud pay attention to maintaining vaginal microflora healthy.
