Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of pocket nursing intervention of new central venous catheter(CVC)on patients with maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)catheter. Methods A total of 64 patients who underwent HD and CVC in our hospital from December 2013 to June 2017 were selected as the subjects, and they were divided into observation group (n=32)and control group (n=32)by the random number table method. The control group was given routine CVC nursing, while the observation group was given self-made pocket nursing intervention. The satisfaction and complications(infection, catheter displacement, blood seepage)of the two groups of patients after 1 month of intervention were recorded. The pain degree(numerical rating scale[NRS])and quality of life(kidney diseasequestionnaire[KDQ])before intervention and after 1 month of intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After 1 month of intervention, the total nursing satisfaction of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group the,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 1 month of intervention, the NRS scores of the two groups were lower than before intervention, while the KDQ scores were higher than before intervention, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The NRS score of patients in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and KDQ score was higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During the intervention, the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The new pocket nursing intervention can improve the quality of life of patients undergoing MHD and CVC,and it also can reduce the pain degree and the incidence of complications, which is of positive significance for improving the nursing quality and nursing satisfaction.
