Abstract:Objective To investigate the ultrasonographic features of Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT) with benign and malignant nodules. Methods A total of 87 patients with HT complicated nodules admitted to Dongnan Hospital from February 2016 to December 2019 were retrospectively selected as the research subjects.According to the pathological examination results of thyroid nodule puncture, they were divided into malignant nodule group (30 cases) and benign nodule group (57 cases). The two-dimensional ultrasound imaging features (echo, morphology, aspect ratio, sound halo, microcalcification, structure, boundary) and color Doppler flow imaging features (flow grade, resistance index value) were compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of hypoecho, irregular shape, aspect ratio≥1, acoustic halo and microcalcification in the malignant nodules group were higher than those in the benign nodules group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in structure and boundary between the two groups (P>0.05).The proportion of the blood flow grade (grade Ⅱand Ⅲ) and resistance index value ≥0.7 in the malignant nodules group were higher than those in the benign nodules group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion There were significant differences between benign and malignant HT nodules in low echo, irregular shape, aspect ratio, sound halo, microcalcification, blood flow grade and resistance index value, which were helpful for differential diagnosis.
