Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of structured nursing program to prevent medical adhesive-related skin injury (MARSI) in intensive care unit (ICU) patients, continuously improve the quality of clinical skin care, and prevent MARSI. Methods Forty-five ICU patients who used medical adhesive products in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University before the launch of the structured nursing program from March 2018 to March 2019 were selected as the control group. Another batch of 45 ICU patients who used medical adhesive products in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University was enrolled as the observation group after carrying out the structured nursing program from April 2019 to March 2020. The nursing satisfaction, MARSI type and incidence of the two groups after intervention were compared. Results After the intervention, the incidence rates of tension injury, exfoliation, and capsulitis in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the intervention, the incidence of MARSI in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). The patients′ total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after intervention, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The structured nursing treatment for ICU patients has certain clinical application value in reducing the occurrence of MARSI in ICU patients with MARSI, and has a positive effect on significantly improving the clinical effects of patients.
