Application of high quality nursing intervention in endoscopic variceal ligation for patients with esophageal and gastric varices during perioperative period

Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of high quality nursing intervention in endoscopic variceal ligation for patients with esophageal and gastric varices during perioperative period.Methods A total of 88 patients with esophageal and gastric varices who were admitted to Fuzhou First People′s Hospital,Jiangxi Province from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as subjects and divided into two groups according to random number table method,44 cases in each group.Two groups underwent endoscopic variceal ligation,control group was given routine nursing,and observation group was given high quality nursing intervention based on the control group,with 2 weeks of intervention in two groups.The psychological status,quality of life and nursing satisfaction in two groups were observed.Results After intervention for 2 weeks,the scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) in two groups were lower than those before intervention,and the SAS and SDS scores in observation group were lower than those in control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The scores of social function,physical function,mental function and material life status in two groups were higher than those before intervention,and the scores of observation group were higher than those of control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total nursing satisfaction of observation group was higher than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion High quality nursing intervention for esophageal and gastric varices patients with endoscopic variceal ligation during perioperative period can improve psychological status,increase quality of life and nursing satisfaction,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
