Abstract:Objective To analyze the screening results and risk factors of retinopathy of premature infants (ROP) in our hospital. Methods A total of 59 premature infants (118 affected eyes) who were admitted to the hospital between May 2018 and May 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.Their general data and data about the disease were collected for screening ROP.According to the screening results and the presence of ROP,the subjects were divided into 52 cases in the normal fundus group and 7 cases in the ROP group. The risk factors were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis. Results Of the 59 premature infants, the detection rate of ROP was 11.86%.The birth weight and gestational age of preterm infants in the ROP group were lower than those of the normal fundus group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the mode of delivery or the number of fetuses between the two groups (P>0.05).The proportions of oxygen inhalation time ≥72 h,using Dexamethasone, using surfactant and infection in the ROP group were higher than those in the normal fundus group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the proportion of hypoxic encephalopathy, anemia, hyperbilirubinemia or intracranial hemorrhage between the two groups (P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis indicated that low birth weight (β=1.530,OR=4.618,95%CI=2.088-10.214),small gestational age (β=0.886,OR=2.425,95%CI=1.293-4.550) and oxygen inhalation time ≥72 h (β=1.303,OR=3.680,95%CI=1.620-8.350) were risk factors for ROP (P<0.05).Conclusion Premature infants with low birth weight, small gestational age and oxygen inhalation time ≥72h are key groups of screening to reduce missed diagnosis.Early detection and intervention should be carried out to reduce the rate of blindness caused by ROP.
