Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of Olopatadine combined with Polyethylene Glycol Eye Drops in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. Methods Atota of 120 patients (120 eyes) with allergic conjunctivitis who were treated in our hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected, and divided into test group and control group by random number table method, with 60 cases (60 eyes) in each group. The control group was treated with Olopatadine Eye Drops. The test group was treated with Olopatadine and Polyethylene Glycol Eye Drops. The changes of clinical symptoms and signs, break up time (BUT), tear secretion test (Schimer Ⅰtest), corneal fluorescein staining, treatment effect and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups in clinical symptoms and signs, BUT, schimer Ⅰtest and corneal fluorescein staining before treatment(P>0.05).The symptom and sign scores and corneal fluorescein staining scores of the two groups after 2 weeks of treatment were lower than those before treatment, BUT and SchimerⅠtest were longer than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The symptom and sign score and corneal fluorescein staining score of the test group were lower than those of the control group, BUT and SchimerⅠtest were longer than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effective rate of the test group was 91.7%, which was higher than that of control group (78.3%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).All patients did not have adverse reactions during treatment, the original disease and ocular symptoms were not aggravated. Conclusion The clinical effect of Olopatadine combined with Polyethylene Glycol Eye Drops in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis is significant, and with less adverse reactions, easy to operate. So it is a safe and effective treatment, which worth to promote the application in clinic.
