Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of minimally invasive implantation repairing the loss of free end of the posterior teeth in the elderly. Methods Sixty elderly patients with the loss of free end of the posterior teeth were enrolled in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2017 as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into conventional implant restoration group (30 cases) and minimally invasive implant restoration group (30 cases).Patients in the conventional implant restoration group adopt conventional implant restoration methods, while patients in the minimally invasive implant restoration group adopt minimally invasive implant restoration methods. The recovery pain (visual analogue scale [VAS]) score, operation time, health survey scale (SF-36) score before and after treatment, masticatory function score and total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there were no significant difference in SF-36 and masticatory function scores between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the SF-36 and masticatory function scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment,SF-36 and masticatory function scores of patients in minimally invasive implant restoration group were higher than those in conventional implant restoration group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).VAS score of patients in minimally invasive implant restoration group was lower than that in conventional implant restoration group, and the operation time was shorter than that in conventional implant restoration group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in minimally invasive implant restoration group was lower than that in conventional implant restoration group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Minimally invasive implantation repairing the elderly patients with the loss of free end of the posterior teeth can achieve better results, and can effectively reduce the pain of patients in repair, shorten the treatment time, improve the health level and chewing function of patients, and reduce the total incidence of complications.
