Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of protective motivation nursing on quality of life and self-care ability of elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods Sixty elderly patients with CHD admitted to our hospital from May 2016 to March 2018 were selected.According to different nursing methods,they were divided into observation group(n=30)and control group(n=30).The control group was given basic nursing,and the observation group was given protective motivation nursing.Results The scores of self-nursing ability scale (ESCA),including health knowledge([27.24±3.16]points),nursing skills([37.53±4.36]points),self-concept([28.24±3.56]points)and self-care responsibility ([28.63±5.23]points)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).The seattle angina questionnaire(SAQ)scores of the observation group included disease cognition degree([86.03±8.35]points),treatment satisfaction degree ([83.25±6.81]points),angina pectoris attack ([82.21±7.91]points),stable angina pectoris([84.53±6.93]points),and physical restriction degree ([80.56±6.17]points)were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Protective motivation nursing can improve the self-care ability of elderly patients with CHD,improve the quality of life of patients,worthy of promotion.
