Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) on quality of life and social function in patients with depressive disorder. Methods A total of 94 patients with depressive disorder admitted to psychiatry department of our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group,47 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, while the intervention group was given MBCT intervention on the basis of routine treatment. The Hamilton depression scale (HAMD-17),personal and social function scale(PSP-CHN) and World Health Organization quality of life scale-bref (WHOQOL-BREF) were used to evaluate blindly before and after the intervention for 8 weeks. Results The HAMD-17 score of the intervention group after 8 weeks of intervention was lower than that of the control group, and PSP-CHN was higher than that of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The scores and total scores of WHOQOL-BREF of the intervention group after 8 weeks of intervention were higher than those of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion MBCT can effectively improve depressive symptoms, social function and quality of life in patients with depression.
