Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between serum amyloid A(SAA),heparin binding protein(HBP)and the severity of sepsis. Methods 120 cases of patients with sepsis who treated in our hospital from November 2015 to January 2018 were selected as the case group, and they were divided into the sepsis group (48 cases),the severe sepsis group(40 cases)and the septic shock group(32 cases)according to the severity degree of the disease. At the same time,40 cases of health examination in our hospital were selected as the control group. The levels of SAA and HBP in the each group were compared and the correlation with the severity of sepsis was analyzed. Results The levels of serum SAA and HBP in the case group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of serum SAA and HBP in the severe sepsis group and the septic shock group were higher than those in the sepsis group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of serum SAA and HBP in the septic shock group were higher than those in the severe sepsis group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum SAA and HBP were positively correlated with the severity of sepsis (r=0.752,0.794,P<0.05).Conclusion The serum levels of SAA and HBP are positively correlated with the severity of sepsis. The level of serum SAA and HBP are closely monitored in patients with sepsis which can be used to understand the severity of sepsis, and it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
