Discussion on reexamination rules for the combined detection of GEB-800 urine dry chemical analyzer and UF-1000i urine tangible component analyzer for urine specimen

Abstract:Objective To establish and evaluate the reexamination rules for the combined detection of GEB-800 urine dry chemical analyzer and UF-1000i urine tangible component analyzer for urine specimen.Methods A total of 1000 urine samples from the hospital of Civil Aviation Flight University of China in March 2018 were collected for study.GEB-800 urine dry chemistry analyzer and UF-1000i urine tangible component analyzer were used to detect the dry chemistry markers and urine visible components,respectively.The doubly blind method was used for the reexamination of centrifuge microscope,and the mean values of the microscopic examination results were used as the criterion.Three schemes were designed for optimization of reexamination rules.Scheme 1:any positive result of leukocyte esterase(LEU),occult blood (BLD),nitrite (NIT),protein (Pro)by urine dry chemical analyzer.Scheme 2:the urine tangible component analysis any index of leucocyte(WBC),red blood cell(RBC),tube type(Cast)exceeded the upper limit of the reference interval.Scheme 3:urine dry chemical detection results of LEU,BLD,NIT and Pro were not consistent with the results of urinary sediment analysis of WBC,RBC,and Cast.Results Using the microscope results as the standard,in the 1000 cases of urine samples for establishment of reexamination rules,the total positive rate accounted for 39.5%(395/1000),and that of RBC,WBC,Pro and Cast was 18.2%(182/1000),10.6%(106/1000),9.2%(92/1000),1.5%(15/1 000),respectively.Among them,the true positive rate of the reexamination scheme 3 was 95.5%,the false negative rate was 4.5%,the true negative rate was 74.2%,the false positive rate was 25.8%,the reexamination rate is 22.4%,and the coincidence rate is 82.8%.Conclusion The optimal reexamination rule of combined detection by GEB-800 urine dry chemistry analyzer and UF-1000i urine tangible component analyzer is that urine dry chemical detection results of LEU,BLD,NIT and Pro are not consistent with the results of urinary sediment analysis of WBC,RBC and Cast.
