Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of peripheral blood immature granulocytes in the evaluation of severity and prognosis of sepsis. Methods Blood samples of 60 patients with sepsis admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to September 2017 were selected for examination.According to the lung injury of sepsis patients, patients were divided into high-risk group(21 cases),middle-risk group(22 cases)and low-risk group(17 cases).Peripheral blood samples of three groups were tested for naive granulocytes, serum procalcitonin and C-reactive protein, and the differences between different risk levels and prognosis were analyzed. Results The peripheral blood naive granulocytes, serum procalcitonin and C-reactive protein of patients in high-danger group were higher than those in middle danger-risk group and low danger-risk group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The peripheral blood naive granulocytes, serum procalcitonin and C-reactive protein in death group were significantly higher than those in survival group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Peripheral blood immature granulocytes increase in number along with the increasing severity of sepsis. At the same time,it also has a positive effect on the prognosis evaluation for patients, which is recommended to be promoted in clinical practice.
